The last walk before the start of our summer season was this old favourite
Still
restricted to a maximum of ten on each walk, and must wear facemasks
In fact there was only eight of us again today
None
of our pre covid walkers are walking with the group at present
And we were fortunate to be able to recruit some new members
Even CBMW are suffering from low numbers on their walks
It was much busier than usual on the walk today
We
met Helen Mawdesley’s group as we had our banana stop
And
Pat and Peter’s Monday Group at the cross
It is very unusual to meet one other group, let alone two
It was cloudy today
Not good for photographs, but much cooler than full sun
We had a treat for our picnic, Julian provided home made cakes
This will be our last day walk until October
During
June and September we hope to do our summer walks
These will start earlier, avoid any climbing and end at the bar by 1200
Very
pleased that all of today’s group have signed up for the June programme
This
was a very pleasant end to a difficult walking season
